Liske tweets the perspective of a lateral thinker

"In 'Liske Tweets - A Lateral Thinker's Perspective,' Bernd Liske dissects current events, offering numerous thought-provoking ideas and drawing conclusions. Politically interested readers will find much to enjoy. Even more so our politicians, to whom I highly recommend this book. It should help them 'go off the beaten track' to get back on track. ... Bernd Liske's use of 'lateral thinking' refers to his creative method of thinking."

Bernd Liske has published his second book in a short period of time. While PRISM: A Lesson for Our Democracy is based on a manuscript written in 2013, in which he uses his personal involvement in the NSA affair as a starting point for a profound examination of the state of German society, and then considers sustainable social development in order to influence contemporary society, this book is based on over 3,000 tweets that he published on Twitter in less than a year, starting on November 1, 2019. From these, he selected over 1,300 tweets on a wide range of social topics and incorporated them into the book, creating a highly entertaining read. A large portion deals with the handling and consequences of the Corona pandemic .

In addition to threads where he addresses individual topics in more detail, there are the categories Topics, People, Countries and Regions, and TWITTER, which are further divided into subcategories that group tweets chronologically. The Topics category covers aspects such as values, narrow-mindedness, free spirit, zeitgeist, the individual, Corona, education, homelessness, and the future of society . The People category discusses Donald Trump, Dr. Reiner Haseloff, Armin Laschet, Norbert Röttgen, Friedrich Merz, and Christian Lindner . The Countries and Regions category deals with the USA, China, Russia, Poland, Europe, Germany, and Saxony-Anhalt . The TWITTER category compiles some tweets that result from the author's experiences with the medium.

Together with the bibliography comprising over 2,300 sources, the book becomes a valuable work of contemporary history, commenting on contemporary history from the author's point of view.

The book's appeal also stems from a multitude of aphorisms , which systematically underpin the analyses, suggestions, and ideas. Their sheer number is a personal trait of the author.
